Brenda Bauer
Pastel Artist
The magic of a sunset over the lake. A bit of
the forest floor with calypso orchids pushing
towards the dappled sunlight. This is where the
artistic vision of Brenda Bauer will
transport you.
Brenda's work spans several years of
observation of the natural elements of the region.
"I've felt close to the earth for my whole
life," said Bauer. "The lake
is especially fascinating from an artistic point
of view. Not only are the reflections on the
water a challenge to interpret, but the lake also
changes from moment to moment."

About
Brenda
Bauer was raised in Detroit Michigan
and moved to North Idaho in 1979. As a self-taught
artist, she has had the opportunity to develop
unique elements of style that are not typical of
the traditional approach to the medium. Her
finely woven textures and intimate views of the
lake reveal a passion and honesty that is not
found in other art of the region.
"I have lived close to the earth for
my whole life and have felt the rhythms and
cycles that pulse through its soul. The earth
speaks to me in colors and form--diversity is
the key to all life."

1999
