<Casey> Okay. Character construction. Everybody's probably familiar with the lists that have come out: questions you're supposed to answer about your character. They've been designed as an aid to help you understand who your character is.
<Sea Witch> course you can Becky. It's a long time since we made great mayhem together. Pity the other rodent isn't around.
<Wwombat> Those lists all refer to the 'back story'
<BeckyB> I actually like the idea of character construction lists. They help keep track of things.

<Casey> Richard's right. The lists often only create a character's history.
<Casey> What happened to them growing up as a child, their physical attributes, their preferences.
<Casey> When I first began writing, one of the first adages I heard was: Know thyself. I still feel that it's good advice for any writer.
